1: Pick up ripe chestnuts on the chestnut tree, break them apart, throw them on the ground and pick them up. The chestnuts harvested in this way have good development, beautiful appearance, good gloss, high quality, durable storage and transportation, and can make full use of auxiliary labor. But you should pick it every day, otherwise the chestnuts will be exposed to the ground for a long time, lose water, and air dry, which will affect the yield and fruit quality. The test showed that chestnuts exposed to trees one day will lose more than 10% of water, and chestnuts that lose water are easy to mold and deteriorate in the process of storage and transportation. Two types: chestnut cracking more than 40%. Shake off the chestnuts with a bamboo pole, pick them up and put them in the shade. Spray a small amount of water at 20cm of each layer to increase the humidity in the pile. The thickness of the pile shall not exceed 80 cm. (1) Reduce the quality of chestnuts: broken chestnuts are immature, not full, lack of nutrition accumulation, poor color, low sugar content, high water content, easy to rot, not easy to store.

(2) Yield reduction: according to years of practical experience, if harvest 15 days in advance, the yield will be reduced by 55.3%; If harvested 9 days in advance, the yield will be reduced by 35.4%; If harvested 3 days in advance, the yield will be reduced by 6.8%.

(3) Easy to damage the tree body: when the chestnut bud is immature, the fruit stalk is firmly combined with the fruit branch, which is not easy to be knocked down. Therefore, hitting chestnuts will knock down many leaves and easily damage the front of the fruit, which will affect the quality of fruit branches and lead to a reduction in production in the coming year.

(4) There are many pests: during the storage of chestnut buds, the fruit borer peach borer is easy to transform into fruit damage, resulting in an increase in the incidence of fruit pests.

(5) Easy and labor-intensive: when chestnuts crack, if it takes 10 minutes, it takes 30 minutes to turn green. The labor cost of greening, picking chestnut sprouts, picking chestnut kernels and storing chestnut sprouts is more than three times that of picking chestnut kernels. At the same time, it also led to the decline of total output, quality and serious economic losses, which were greater than the benefits.
